Position Overview: As a data modeler at Advantage Pro, you will be an integral part of our data management team. You will collaborate closely with data architects and data analysts to translate business needs into effective data models that optimize data storage, reduce redundancy, and streamline data movements.

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Business Needs Analysis: Analyze and translate business requirements into long-term solution data models, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Data System Evaluation: Evaluate existing data systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

  • Conceptual Data Models: Collaborate with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows that serve as the foundation for database design.

  • Best Practices Development: Develop and enforce best practices for data coding to maintain consistency within the system and ensure data integrity.

  • Cross-compatibility: Review modifications to existing systems to ensure cross-compatibility and data consistency.

  • Physical Data Models: Implement data strategies by developing physical data models that are efficient and well-structured.

  • Metadata Management: Update and optimize local and metadata models to improve data management and documentation.

  • System Evaluation: Continuously evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency, making necessary adjustments as needed.

  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and troubleshoot data system issues and proactively optimize data models for peak performance.

 

Requirements:

​

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

  • Experience: At least 7 years of hands-on experience in physical and relational data modeling.

  • 3 Years of Healthcare Experience

  • Metadata Management: Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools

  • Analytical Skills: Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis to make data-driven decisions

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Team Management: Experience with team management is a plus, as is demonstrating leadership and coordination skills.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Troubleshooting: Advanced troubleshooting skills are needed to identify and resolve data-related issues promptly.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: 40 per week
